Fees for Psychological Services

Fees for Psychological Services are not covered by OHIP clients are responsible for these fees. With coverage, we do bill directly to insurance companies: Motor Vehicle Accident Insurers, Workers Compensation Insurance (WSIB) and Blue Cross (Veteran Services). When psychological services are covered by extended health care benefits through employers, we do ask for payment at each session and you will be provided a receipt that you can submit for reimbursement to your covering plan. Similarly, for individuals paying directly, we ask that you pay at each session and you will be provided with a receipt which can be used towards a tax deductible expense. Payment can be made by Visa, MasterCard, debit, cheque or cash.

The fees for psychological services will vary depending on the nature of the service provided. Please contact our office for more information.


Late Cancellation/Missed Appointment Fees

Regular attendance is important to benefit from psychological services. Goals are not likely to be reached without consistent attendance. Your session is time set aside for you and without enough notice we cannot offer this time to someone else. We ask for at least 24 hours’ notice of cancellation. We do not bill insurers for missed or late cancelled appointments. When appointments are not cancelled in time, or not attended, there is a fee of 50% of the hourly rate. When there is a pattern of not attending or cancelling appointments, we will review this with you.
